Customized Solutions
Before any training begins, we make a complete analysis to determine your organization’s training goals and objectives. Each of our training programs is unique, no two have been, or ever will be, alike.
Long-Lasting Effects
100% of the training will be conducted on-site, in your work environment. We work directly with no more than 15 people, in their work areas, to provide practical, hands-on experience throughout the training.
Targeted Program Modules
A comprehensive menu of basic program modules provides unlimited flexibility to meet all of your training goals and objectives. Any number may be incorporated into your program. For example in Basic Engineering you may choose any combination of leadership, work measurement, work sampling, work simplification and motion economy. In Cultural Change you may choose self-directed work teams, work scheduling, quality circles, effectivity and/or ergonomics.

Engineering Solutions
Problem: Dwell time of presses, external to cycle, taking too long.
Solution: Analysis identified problems both internal and external that caused time to be more than 0. Permanent solutions determined, approved and implemented.
Result: When solutions were implemented to metal stamping plants throughout the U.S. and Europe annual savings exceeded $100 million.
Training Institute
Problem: GMI participants lacked training in work measurement techniques involving methods and process improvements.
Solution: SONIL’s hands-on work measurement techniques training modules covering predetermined times, work sampling, techniques, flow process, fundamentals and work place layouts.
Result: Estimated annual savings exceed $1 million, training is ongoing.
Training Institute
Problem: Need to reduce manufacturing costs in order to compete more effectively in worldwide marketplace.
Solution: Customized training for Front Line Supervisors in Method and Process Improvements.
Result: Cost-saving estimates from U.S. and European Assembly and Metal Stamping Plants exceed $1 billion annually.
At The Swiss Colony Sonil continued to develop, implement and maintain work in all three of our engineering divisions:

After the Operational were approved by the shop floor, Work Place Methods were developed.
Engineered Work Standard were developed for operations on the shop floor, examples are as follows:

A completely integrated work measurement computer system was developed and implemented.
Plymouth Foundry Inc.
Engineering Solutions
Problem #1: Out-of-control incentive program for molding operations.
Solution: Develop and implement work measurement for all incentive applications.
Result: Documented savings of over $100,000 annually.
Problem #2: Labor Relations
Solution: Negotiated two five-year contracts, as well as handle all labor relations applications such as grievances, with UAW in 1990 and 1995.
Result: Client estimates savings of $100,000.
Installed 401K retirement program.
Maintained job evaluations and classifications and wages for all groups.
Maintained all Industrial Engineering data.
Provided for new and improved facilities, Roberts Sinto, etc.
Training Institute
Problem: Find ways to improve shop floor productivity and operating profits.

Problem: No computerized method of incentive calculation or work measurement maintenance/no computerized estimating system.
